Week 8 reflection

Literacy

This week we were learning about "When to start a new paragraph". I found nothing very hard but sorting out the drawing was hard. I enjoyed inserting word art putting the title in and my name in. I hope you enjoy my examples.

Reading

We made a slide called "perfect punctuation" . I found it hard doing the semicolon slide because I knew NOTHING about semicolons. I liked doing the Speech mark slide because that was my most detailed piece.

Word Work

This weeks word work, it is based on the magnificent Ferrari 489 race car. I found it hard writing my whole paragraph ALL ABOUT CARS! I enjoyed writing about cars because they are my favorite things in this universe. I hope you enjoy reading my special Word Work!

Update on show not tell

This week we had to update our "Show not tell" to make it FANTASTIC. Leave a comment if it's better. I found it hard writing all my 3 Paragraphs. I liked it when Miss Panther said "It is AMAZING!"  I think I could make 4 paragraphs, Maybe.

Numeracy

I found it hard using Khan Academy to regroup decimals. I enjoyed it when I completed the Khan Academy Regrouping Decimals activity because they WERE REALLY HARD! I think I could improve my regrouping decimals before I do anything else!

Writing

I learnt about using LOTS of punctuation and using paragraphs. I found it recording my screencastify  because dads phone went off during it! I enjoyed the background music during my Screencastify.

Numeracy

I enjoyed playing this game and I hope you do with this link. I found it hard using the left table to work it out. I liked it when it said "Your a decimaster!" to me when I completed it.

Word Work

paragraph with ALL my 10 words in it. I found it hard when I had to write all of my words in 1 paragraph but I managed. I enjoyed it all and I hope you enjoyed my paragraph. 

Reading

I liked it when I put in the image of the 2 " Lets eat Grandma's"! I found hard writing to the teacher about why to use punctuation. I reminds me of year 4 when I had the best punctuation!

30BC Book 2

Top to bottom

This book is written by Marc Ellis who drives the ARB equipped Toyota Fj Cruiser from Top of the north island to the bottom of the south island . I recommend this book kids aged 8-99. I was really cool when Marc did a massive jump as you can see on the front cover. I found non of it sad because Marc is cruising   from Top of the north island to the Bottom of the south island. I found it surprising when Marc crossed a meter of water at speed and got through with NO dents.

30BC Book 1

Grandpa's Great Escape

This books author is David Walliams  and it is a Brilliant book. I recommenced it for kids aged 9 and over. It was a bit sad when he had his funeral when he died. I found it suprising when he became younger and didn't die. I sort of  like it when they got forced to land by the Jumper jet, But they didn't land.

I actually read all of the 460 pages cover to cover! It has always been a great book every time I've picked it up and read it the felling was amazing. It took me back in time to just after WW2 when the war birds where hung up in museums and big memorials.  

I loved this book and I hope you enjoy the book when you read it.
