This week we were doing exposition writing about is recycling essential. This is my piece of work.

Writing an exposition / argument

We have just started learning about cause and effect. This is my drawing showing words we know that we can use to show cause and effect. Eg The fish died as a result of pollution.

Reflection T1 Week 1 & 2

Hi.
The school holidays went really fast. I visited Wanaka & Timaru. I did around 70 kms on my bike. I traveled 13 hours in the car. 

These couple of weeks have been about knowing stuff about other people. And we also have already finished 1 piece of art. This is it.

We also have made acrostic poems. Then we made 2 examples. These are mine.

I chose surfing and cricket because, 1 I have been surfing for 3 years and I love surfing. Next I have enjoyed playing backyard cricket over the summer and I enjoy watching cricket.

Reflection Week 5

Reflection- Numeracy

In numeracy this week we were working on what we didn't get right in our diagnostic testing on maths buddy.  I chose to work on equivalent fractions. Next time I could take my time and work slowly. I hope you like what I learnt.

Literacy.
This week in literacy we have been discussing endangered animals. We then had to reflect on the statements on this anticipation chart before we read the text. This is mine. Next time I could explain endangered animals better.  Have a read of the statements and tell me if you disagree or agree.  I will tell you what I find out next week.

This week in literacy we have been doing rugby commentary, we watched a video about Damien McKenzie and his awesome smile when he kicks. Next time I could use better words and more words. Here is my script. Next week I should have my video up!

This week I had my Oral Board Speech Exam. I got Highly Commended. Next time I could speak slower. This is my speech.

This week we have been doing descriptions about a family member, I did mu cousin Lewis. I found it hard choosing a family member. Next time I could use better wording. This is my description.

This week we have been focusing about the advantages and the disadvantages of plastic. I found it hard knowing my facts but I cracked 15 facts! Next time I could do some more facts.

This week we have been discovering "Wonderopolis" and we had to choose a wonder. My wonder was, How fast is the fastest car. I have completed my introduction and 1 paragraph. Next time I could choose a different topic that is more explainable. I hope you like my introduction and my first paragraph. 

Also this week I finished level 6+ in spelling. I finished 6 pages of it during this term.

This week we have been finishing our camp reflection. I found it hard writing the first few sentences because I forgot all about it! Next time I could use better words and remember to use my FANBOYS and punctuation. I found it easy when I did my last paragraph because I remembered the rest. We also did our word work for the week. I found it hard doing my origins because I knew nothing about them. Next time I could use better definitions.
